I did it Again!

I, Anonymous have conquered another TBQ feet. I have earned the Master Memorization Award. The toughest, roughest award any quizzer can achieve. In 60 minutes or less, you have to quote the entire material (for this year, the whole book of Mark) with 7 mistakes or less. I quoted Mark with six mistakes, barely reaching the mark. But hey, I did it. Two weeks before the Regional competition, too.

Happy Birthday, Lil, Precious

My smallest little sibling, Lil' Precious has been living on this planet a full year! We're making cake for her and we got her a small baby phone for her. She was so excited. Tonight I have practice. We only have two weeks and a half to the Regional TBQ so I better tie my shoes on.

Former Coach Tony Dungy Came To Our Church

Yesterday, instead of having our senior pastor preach, former colt and buccaneer coach Tony Dungy came to preach at our church. He preached a message that was directed mostly to young people 22 years and younger. He encouraged us not to follow the crowd just be popular. Instead, we should follow God's way and make decisions according to the Bible.

The Dark Knight, My Review

Last night for the very first time, I watched the much hyped-Dark Knight. Before viewing, I had heard from all my friends what a great movie it was supposedly. I also read on several Christian sites how violent this movie was. However, this movie kept me in my seat for over two hours. Storyline: Batman (a.k.a. Bruce Wayne), is doing his best to rid his city, Gotham, from all organized crime. As a result he has become a hero to some and a criminal to others. There are even some who pretend to be batman and fight crime. Then the Joker, a psycho killer who wears clown make-up demands that Batman reveal his true identity, or he will start murdering people every day Batman refuses to show his face. Will Batman remain anonymous, or will he be able to capture this mad clown? It's for you do find out.

Thursday Practice and Last Night

Wednesday, I quoted chapter 12 to the whole congregation. It was kinda scary put a got though with only 4 mistakes. Today, my teammates came over and practiced. That went okay to. Now, I'm going to see the much hyped Dark Knight (Batman.)

One event down, two to go

All right, let me just start by saying yesterday's practice was pretty cool. We played decently overall. But enough of that, lets press on to tonight which is arguably the most exciting this week. I am going to quote chapter 12 of Mark to the whole congregation. I'll admit I am a little nervous about this. But I know the chapter pretty well, so I'll do ok.

TBQ Megamix Week

This week is TBQ to the max! First of, today I have practice at my coach's house. Wednesday, I have to quote a whole chapter of Mark in front of the whole congregation. The scary thing is, I don't know which chapter I'm quoting! The congregation will choose the chapter I quote. Then again, this Thursday I have yet another TBQ practice. To top the week of, during service this Sunday I am going to try to achieve the master memorization award. To get this award I have quote the WHOLE BOOK OF MARK in 60 minutes with 7 or less mistakes. Yeah baby, I got my hands full. Only thing that's missing is a match on Saturday.

Partying Through The Weekend

I have had a lot of things going on lately. Last week I had TBQ practice on Tuesday and Thursday. On top of that I went to one of my best friend's birthday/slumber party. That was last weeks highlight. I got there around 5 p.m. and we immediately went and jumped on my friend's trampoline. We did tricks in the air and bounced pretty high. When we got off one of the other guest pushed me into the pool with, shoes, jeans, and everything. That caused a inconvenience because it was 50 degrees and I really didn't feel like getting wet. I swung the guy around a couple of times and playfully choked him. We all laughed and he didn't I I had my shoes so I easily forgave him. Cause we're good friends, so we don't take things so seriously, so easily. Thankfully, I had brought another pair of clothes so I dried myself of and slipped on my dry clothes. When it got dark, we went inside and played video games and watched movies until cake time. We ended up staying awake until 2 a.m.! Yeah, it was a blast. This party was THE most fun I have had this year, even beats the Atlanta Open(this time I was able to stay healthy)!
Make that FOUR sleepovers for the year, one for every month(Which is more than I have had in all my life!).

A Tribute To A Good Dog: Shane

Last Monday, a very sad thing happened around Lynchburg, Virginia. Shane, my Grandmother's little dog was run over by a car in their driveway. They took him immediately to the vet emergency room. His injuries, however, proved to be fatal and they had him put to sleep. Now, I let you all know that was Shane was a very old dog. My grandparents adopted him when I was not even a year old (almost fourteen years ago). He was a mutt, mixed between a copper spaniel and and another species of dog which I can't quiet remember. He was such a special dog. So docile, all the grand kids played with him. So obedient, always listened when even the littlest voice called him. As he aged his hair turned from shiny jet black to a dull gray. Eventually he lost his sense of hearing. In fact, one morning while eating his dog food, his teeth fell out! So obviously his death was inevitably and I knew it was coming soon. Just not this soon and not in this way. I remember each time we came to visit, Shane would bark his if to say hello and lick are hands so loving as only a dog can. Shane, dearest of all dogs I hope to see jumping toward me and licking my hand just as you used to when I get to heaven. Godspeed, Shane!

Spring Break Of The Chain

Spring break is this week and I have enjoyed it to the best of my ability. I spent Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. over at a friends house playing videogames, football, and just hanging out. Oh, by the way, Happy Easter! Thank God for sending his son, Jesus Christ to die on the cross for our sins. The most importantly, He rose from the dead! I'll have another post Easter Sunday or maybe tomorrow to go more into the depth and importance of this holiday.

Sitting Sunday Out

Today, usually when I'd be going to church, I'm staying home. Why? Because, my family is sick for the fourth time this year. I'm not sick this time (Thank God) but some of my siblings are. Well, I guess I can just sit this Sunday out.
