Speeding Super-Sonic Fast Into A Record

Congrats to my second cousin for winning the 400 yd. dash at track state competition in Virginia. Not only that, she won second place in a relay race. She totally rocks. The only problem is that I bragged to my Dad that I could beat my just graduated from high school cousin in race. She's coming down here to Florida for a visit in a couple of weeks. Oh well, guess I pretty tie my shoes on. (help!!!)

Random Awkwardness

O.k., for a TBQ fundraiser, last Sunday me and some of my teammates went up to random people at our church and asked them to sponsor us. Of course, it is kinda awkward just asking strangers for money but hey it worked.

Studying like a Maniac

It's like, six weeks till the national tbq competition in St. Louis and I'm studying like a maniac. I got some serious quizzing energy and I can't put my book down. I stayed up from 11 p.m. till midnight studying last night. I'm just very, very, motivated. In other words, I'm a Rock star Amped up on Monster drinks going Full-Throttle. (All the capitalized words are names of energy drinks, sorry for stealing your pun, Natster. )

Adjusting Back To Normal Life

As most of you know after an exciting trip it is very hard to go back to normal life. I've found myself to be feeling kinda bored and disinterested over the past week. However, I feel that I'm getting the hang of it. Can't wait for nationals.

Coming Back Champs

There is no doubt about. Me and my team are champs! We finished third place overall getting an automatic bid to the national tbq competition. But that's not all. After a match, I got interviewed by a reporter from one of the local Rome, Georgia newspapers. Then, to celebrate all we had done we rode in a LIMO to the mall to play a scavenger hunt created by my coach. Yeah, it was a total blast. Meet me in St. Louis!

Is The Media Showing Obama Unfair Favoritisim Over Bush?

Everyone in the United States of America knows about Barack Obama. The guy's all over the place. Cool grin, laid-back attitude, everyone's best friend and the solver of all problems. Or is he? According to the website Studentnewsdaily.com., the media has not been very honest at all about the actions of our President. When the President was visiting Europe, the media declared the visit a unquestionable success. But this article shows us that's was not the case. Most of the purposals he presented were crudely and rudely turned down. All the media showed was the very few positives the visit had. In another instance, while the President was visiting Saudi Arabia, President Obama bowed to the king of the nation. The king did not respond with the same action. In Saudi Arabia tradition, when you bow to someone, you are offering yourself as a subject. However, the media totally overlooked that and instead talk about Michelle Obama touching Queen Elizabeth. In the most recent occurrence, the President's plane flew very near the ground around the September 11 massacre. The plane was only trying to get some photo shots of itself when everyone else thought it was another attack. When they learned the real mission of the plane, they were very angry at the Obama assistant who designed, but not Obama himself. Although this was not that serious, the media would have had Bush for lunch if this had been him. In contrast the media, while George Bush was President totally discriminated him. They tried to get everyone to believe that he was a awful president. But was he really that bad? I mean, come on, not every president's term is full of terrorist running planes through buildings, hostile Muslim countries, and a sagging economy. But since Obama, the media has made it seem he is going all over the place fixing all the problems Bush 'created.' Neither Presidents are crispy clean but I think the media needs to be more responsible in giving the story how it really happened. Here is the address for all these articles I got this info from. http://www.studentnewsdaily.com/biased-item/should-the-media-report-on-the-presidential-bow-to-the-saudi-king/

11 Days And Counting

11 Days till the Regional Teen Bible Quiz Competition. I am sooo excited! Tonight's practice. Hopefully, we can generate some much needed energy to battle all the big time teams we will be facing. I'm talking Montgomery, Orlando, and Acorth. Please pray for us that we will be able to study and keep our eyes on Jesus Christ and rely on him for our strength. Thanks.
