Adjusting Back To Normal Life
As most of you know after an exciting trip it is very hard to go back to normal life. I've found myself to be feeling kinda bored and disinterested over the past week. However, I feel that I'm getting the hang of it. Can't wait for nationals.

Atlanta Open Results: Bitter and Sweet
As you guys know, I was competing at the Atlanta Open. The first day went pretty well. We won 6 games and lost 2. We did so well that we qualified for the first division to compete for the gold the second day. After 6 hard matches we were 5-1, tied for first place. So we had a playoff match against the team we were tied up against. Sadly, we lost. But hey, second place isn't something to sneeze at. Not only that, out of our 7 quizzers who came with us to the Atlanta Open, 5 were given All Star trophies including me. However, at the end of the trip, 5 out of 7 of us became really sick, once again including me. My friend's temperature was at 105 degrees! Not cool. My temperature when I got back almost reached 106 degrees! But I'm feeling better and all of us are on the road to recovery.

Today....
Today I'm going to my TBQ Coach's house to have our monthly practice before our match. I am proud to say that my team is second in the state at this point of the season. In a couple of week's we will be traveling to a tournament in Atlanta. Yeah, it is time consuming. Anyway, that's what's going on with me right now. Maybe later this week I will finish my stories about myself when I have the time.

My Third TBQ Match Results
Friday night, before the Saturday's events, I was so nervous I couldn't sleep well. However at 6:45 a.m. sharp, I was ready for battle. And battle I did, my team enjoyed our first 8 wins 0 loses performance. We even defeated our arch rival team from Orlando. Personally, I was 5th in the region. If the day wasn't sweet enough, I got my parents permission to sleep over at a friends house Saturday night. We watched the NFL playoffs, played Super Smash Bros. Brawl on his Nintendo Wii, and made a podcast on my friend's camera to 3 o'clock in the morning. Sunday morning after the sermon, we had TBQ practice. Instead of practicing, coach recapped the previous day. He reminded us to keep winning in perspective and to continue to have Christ in the center of the ministry. Now here I am the following Monday telling you guys about it. Thanks for reading.

Teen Bible Quiz Practice
Each week before my TBQ match, my coach hosts an extra practice at his house. Today, I well attend this practice from 6 pm to 8:30 pm. I have studied really hard and hope to do well in this match. Today I also passed a history test with a A 91%. The test was mostly about the Cold War and free trade organizations. Science, my biggest weakness, I still have a B. I hope to bring it up to an A before the year is up. Thanks for visiting my blog.

My Match
This Saturday, I, Anonymous, will quiz my third TBQ match of the season. I'm pretty excited about it since I will quiz with new teammates. I will try to lift my teammates up and play to our potential. My team's, the Wesley Chapel VLC team, rival is the Orlando team. Orlando has several dangerous quizzers and was the fourth best team in the nation last year. One of their quizzers last year was individually second in the nation! The year before, he was number one! Wow, talk about competition. Wish us luck!

Teen Bible Quiz
Sorry, I have not posted for a while. I have been very busy this holiday season. Anyway, I wanted to talk with you guys about a ministry I am involved with: Teen Bible Quiz (TBQ). TBQ is a ministry were kids ranging from grades 6th-12th memorize books of the Bible and quiz on it. It is almost like Jeopardy except you are on a team and the study material is from the Bible For instance, last year, my first year, we memorized Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colosians and Philemon. This year, we are memorizing the gospel of Mark. In a match against another team, there are 20 questions asked three 30 point questions, ten 20 point questions, and 9 10 point question. To give you an idea about how complex the questions are let me give you an example. Ten point question, Mark 9:28 names which individuals? Answer: Peter and Jesus. 20 point question, Where did John the Baptist baptise and what did he preach? Answer: And so John came, baptizing in the desert region and preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins (NIV). The hardest, the 30 pointers will go something like this: Quote verses thirty-two and thirty-three from the eighth chapter? Isn't this a mouthful: He spoke plainly about this, and Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him. But when Jesus turned and looked at his disciples, he rebuked Peter. Get behind me, Satan! he said. You do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men. Yeah, rough. Anyway, I hope this video helps you understand the game more. As usual turn of the music before you listen.(We use hand buzzers instead of bottom buzzer in this video, but you will get the idea.)
